Bracelet made of sterling silver and basalt stone displayed on driftwood

The natural phenomena of the earth, which are normal and usually unnoticed, are the intriguing, tiny objects found when gazing down.

My fascination with the ground and the things we stomp over in our everyday lives has extended into my work.

I create a new realm for these objects in order to transform society’s generalization of them into precious and obvious matter.

I combine elements and ideas of nature to create wearable objects.

Bio

Grace Hogan is a jewelry designer and metalsmith living in Bayfield, Wisconsin. She was born and raised on the shores of Lake Superior in Duluth, Minnesota. She graduated from Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana with a Bachelors in Fine Art. Living between the mountains and the lake for years, helped form and inspire her works today. When Grace isn’t in her home studio, she’s enjoying time with her family, running, swimming in the lake and exploring more of the beautiful landscape – all part of her creative process.

Grace acknowledges and respects that she resides on the traditional lands of the Lake Superior Band of Chippewa. Share support for our neighbors.
